What Does Car Detailing Cost in Omaha? A 2026 Breakdown

Detailing prices swing a lot, and most shops make you call before they'll say a number. Here is what a car detail actually costs in Omaha in 2026, what each tier includes, and the things that move the price up or down before you book.

Ask three Omaha shops what a detail costs and you'll get three different answers, usually because nobody agrees on what "a detail" even means. A quick wash-and-vacuum and a full paint-correction job both get called "detailing," and they're a hundred dollars apart at one end and a couple thousand at the other. So the honest answer to "what does it cost" is: it depends on your vehicle, its condition, and how far you want to take it.

We post our prices instead of hiding them behind a quote form. Here's the whole ladder, from a $100 touch-up to the flagship Diamond Detail, plus the reasons two identical-looking cars can land at different numbers.

The four price tiers, and what each one is for

Every detailing price at Invictus is set by four vehicle size classes: Coupe, Sedan, Truck and Mid-SUV, and Large SUV and Minivan. A Miata and a Suburban do not take the same time or the same amount of product, so they don't cost the same. Here's where each tier lands.

Package Coupe Sedan Truck / Mid-SUV Large SUV / Minivan
Maintenance Cleaning $100 $125 $150 $175
Interior Detail $225 $275 $325 $400
Interior & Exterior $325 $400 $475 $550
The Diamond Detail $1,500 $1,800 $2,100 $2,400

Maintenance cleaning · $100 to $200

This is the in-between wash. A vacuum, wipe-down of the surfaces, glass, a hand wash outside, and a quick freshen so the car feels handled instead of ignored. It isn't a deep clean and it isn't meant to be. If you keep your car reasonably tidy and just want it reset every few weeks, this is the one you book on a rotation. It's also what most people should be doing between the bigger details rather than letting a year go by.

Interior detail · $225 to $400

The interior package is a full inside job. Seats, carpets, mats, and headliner get shampooed or steamed, every crevice and cupholder gets cleaned out, leather gets conditioned, plastics and vents get detailed, and the glass comes out streak-free. This is the one to book when the outside is fine but the inside has lived through a Nebraska summer of kids, drive-thru, and floor mats caked in the fine gravel that comes off the shoulders along Hwy 370 and the county roads. If you have a dog that rides along, expect a pet-hair add-on (more on that below).

Interior and exterior · $325 to $550

This is the most-booked package for a reason. You get the full interior above, plus a proper exterior: a decontamination wash that pulls off bonded road film and brake dust, a clay treatment, wheels and wheel wells done right, tires dressed, and a sealant that actually beads water for a few months. For a car that's daily-driven around the metro and takes the full brunt of I-80 grime, bug season, and winter salt spray, this is usually the better value than interior-only, because the outside decontamination is already bundled in instead of tacked on later.

The Diamond Detail · $1,500 to $2,400

This is the flagship, and it's a different animal. The Diamond Detail is a two-stage paint correction to cut out swirls and scratches, a two-year ceramic coating over the corrected paint, the full interior treatment, plus the engine bay and the undercarriage. It's a multi-day job, not an afternoon. You book this when you want the car to look better than it did off the lot and stay that way, or before you sell and want top dollar. It is not the package for a lease you're turning in next month. If the paint is already in rough shape, the correction stage is what your money is buying, and that's real labor. Want the coating without the full package? That runs separately through our ceramic coating menu, where a standalone two-year coating starts at $600.

What actually moves the price

The table gives you the sticker, but a few things shift where you land inside it. None of these are surprises we spring on you at the driveway. They're the honest variables, and it helps to know them going in.

Vehicle size

Already covered, but it's the biggest single factor. Two extra rows of seats and a cargo area's worth of carpet is more time and more product than a two-door. That's the whole reason for the four classes.

Condition, and how long it's been

A car that gets cleaned every couple of months details fast. A car that hasn't been touched in two years, has ground-in salt from last winter, and a back seat that's been a lunch table takes real work to bring back. Heavy condition can push you toward the top of your size class, and in extreme cases we'll quote it honestly before we start rather than guess. If it's genuinely bad, we'd rather tell you than have you feel nickel-and-dimed after.

Interior-only versus the full car

Adding the exterior to an interior job is roughly a hundred to a hundred-fifty dollars depending on size, and it buys you the decontamination wash, clay, wheels, and sealant. For a metro daily that's caked in I-80 film, that jump is usually worth it.

Add-ons

A handful of specific problems get priced on top so you only pay for what you actually need:

  • Pet hair removal, $25. Embedded dog and cat hair is a genuinely slow job and it's optional, so it's separate.
  • Odor treatment, $25. Smoke, spilled milk, the gym-bag-in-the-trunk situation.
  • Engine bay cleaning, $100. A careful degrease and dress of the bay, done right so nothing sensitive gets soaked.

Deeper paint work beyond a package is billed as paint correction at $100 per hour at our Bennington studio, quoted after we look at the paint under proper lighting. That's a studio job, not a driveway one.

The mobile part: we come to you

Here's the piece that makes Omaha detailing pricing a little different from a fixed shop. Our mobile unit carries its own water and power, so the interior packages, the interior-and-exterior, and maintenance cleanings all happen wherever your car sits. Your driveway in Elkhorn. The office lot in Millard. You hand off the keys and get your day back instead of sitting in a waiting room. There's no travel surcharge inside the metro; the price you see is the price.

A few jobs still run at the studio in Bennington because they need a controlled, dust-free bay: the ceramic coating stage of the Diamond Detail, standalone coatings, and any paint correction. When that's the case, we offer pickup and drop-off where available so you still don't have to wait anywhere.

So what should you actually book?

If the inside is the problem and the paint's fine, book the interior detail. If the car's daily-driven and coated in metro road grime, the interior-and-exterior is the sweet spot and it's why most people land there. If you want the paint corrected and protected for years, that's the Diamond Detail or a dedicated ceramic coating. And if you just need it reset between the big ones, a maintenance cleaning every couple of months keeps you off the expensive end entirely. Two or three drivers we talk to a week could've skipped a full detail if they'd just kept up with the cheap maintenance wash, and we'll tell you that instead of selling you the top tier.

Detailing Questions

Common questions on detailing cost

How long does a car detail take in Omaha?

A maintenance clean runs about an hour. An interior package takes two to four hours depending on how dirty it is. A full interior-and-exterior is usually a half day. The Diamond Detail is a multi-day job because paint correction and a ceramic coating each need their own cure and work time.

Should I get an interior-only detail or a full detail?

If the paint is fine and the mess is inside, an interior package ($225 to $400) is enough. If the outside is coated in I-80 road film, bug guts, or winter salt, the interior-and-exterior package ($325 to $550) is the better value because a wheels-and-paint decontamination is bundled in rather than added later.

How often should I detail my car in Omaha?

Most Omaha drivers do a full detail once or twice a year, spring and fall, and a maintenance clean ($100 to $200) every couple of months in between. If you park outside through Nebraska winters, add a wash after the salt-heavy stretches so it does not sit on the paint and undercarriage.
